A Passion for Telling Stories

I’m a communications professional with more than 20 years of experience helping organizations shape their story, strengthen their reputation, and connect with the audiences that matter most. My background spans higher education, athletics, and municipal government, where I’ve led strategic communications, media relations, crisis response, brand messaging, website content, and social media.

For 17 years, I served in the communications department at the University at Buffalo Division of Athletics, including my final three years as Director of Communications. In that role, I was the primary contact for men’s basketball, volleyball, and men’s and women’s tennis, and also served as the secondary contact for football. I managed departmental communications, oversaw budget responsibilities, maintained the athletic department website, and contributed to the university’s social media strategy. During that time, UB’s athletic communications staff was recognized with the Super 11 Award from the Football Writers Association of America for excellence in media relations.

I later relocated to Connecticut with my wife and son and joined the Town of Bloomfield as Community Engagement & Public Relations Coordinator. As part of a small team, I helped build the Town’s Strategic Communications and Government Affairs Office, serving as lead spokesperson while also managing the website and all social media and communication channels. That work has reinforced my interest in helping organizations communicate clearly, consistently, and with purpose.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University at Buffalo and a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Today, I’m especially interested in opportunities where I can bring together executive messaging, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and brand strategy to help an organization tell its story well.
